Newbie's peak: Mt. Batulao

811+ meters Trail class 3 with 60-70 degrees assault Jump off point Evercrest Golf Course, Nasugbu, Batangas

Doing a different kind of vibe for January 2017 by hitting the mountains and getting the fun out of hiking. From a no work-out resigned government employee, enjoying her year off, living the best out of life from all the drama and chaos of hospital life to a free-spirited, zealous lifestyle overhaul. The air and view was breath taking, far from the overpopulated, polluted metro. A much needed break from the beastly 2016. The weather was fair, cloudy, with a little rain fall then a radiant sun popping out at the end of the peak. The jump off point was skiddy, muddy and sticky all at the same time. We tumbled, butt first but it did not stopped us from getting from peak 1 to 12. There were lots of climbers and since the single and a half pathway was mucky, giving way to climbers was a difficult task, knowing the next tiny step would be a fall off from the path. Eek! We didn't mind the filth as we grab hold from one rock to another on the ascent ergo our knees we're shaking on descent. Still, hiking from one peak to the next was amusing and unnerving for a neophyte like me.

Get a go-go friends and a boyfriend (who is acrophobic yet still does this anyway) who'll do crazy adventures with you. Life isn't confined at the corners of your workplace, it is best experienced and shared.

Cheers to the acrophobic boyfriend at peak 12!

Boom~ We did it. Conquered a newbie's peak. Bakit ba? Lol.
