The magic lives on: Enchanted Kingdom

It was the ASEAN Summit 2017 and it was declared holiday in Makati, hence we opt to have a little tour back to kids wonderland. Looking back, it was more than 5 or 10 years when we both went inside the Philippines' amusement park build since haha I don't know It hasn't changed, although maybe there were a few upgrades and add on rides like the "Agila" and the "Ghostbuster adventure," nonetheless it still is the way I last remembered it.

People started to come around 1PM, lines started to build up a few minutes later. Most are groups are of teenagers and adults, probably reminiscing their childhood wonders same as we are. Despite the scorching heat of the sun, upon opening the gates of the park, people are giddy and sweaty. Armed with sun screen and umbrella we hurried to the first attraction we saw, the Flying Fiesta, to air out those sweaty armpits. Lol. And to finally have some cool air, we entered The Rialto, where an Ice Age scene was on cue. It had some added features like water splash, a sting on your lower legs and a nudge in your back while the film was being played. Alas, we felt a little relieved from that afternoon sun. On to the all time favorite, Jungle Log Jam and Anchor's Away. Oh yeah, that was fun more so if you seat at the farther end of the ride. We had a little challenge, to have no expression on every swing, despite it being tickly on the tummy, it was funny (despite the no expression challenge), with eyes wide open as we reached that top swing, then swooping down. I couldn't remember an Air Force ride before, but it looks fun. The lines were long, so we got to observe how the ride goes. As I noticed, the yellow airplane has the longest stay upside down as compared to the rest of the aircraft, while the red and blue were the ones with the fastest 360 degree turn. So we then chose the yellow airplane, and it was amazing! Staying upside down for 5 seconds at the end of the ride was cool. Though, we did got dizzy afterwards, hence we opted to try the side games, aiming for that pink unicorn. But damn! It was harder that we expected. It was worth php 50 per game. We did spent a lot. Goodbye money! On to the next ride, was the Extreme Tower. It showcased a slow-mo vertical lift then a sudden drop at the end of the tower. It was a good overview of the amusement park then an almost free fall feels. Don't worry it's normal that your butt is off the chair as it descends. Pretty cool. Trying to brush off the adrenaline, we sat and relaxed (not really) in Up, Up & Away. We end up being more dizzy after. Saving up our guts for the final ride, we first tried double karting for 30 minutes. And here it is, the final ride, The Space Shuttle. I was challenged again to have no expression and with eyes wide open during the ride. And it was so hard. Still a heart pounding ride, maybe a newbie's ride compared to what other country's amusement park offers, but it was still a good ride after all.

For the nth side games, we won a gray dog which we named Tsunicorn, in behalf of the blue unicorn I really wanted. :)
